The Cluster Centre presents international expert James Wilson on ‘Cluster policy in a Covid Context’. Where Clusters are a feature of the regional economy, this webinar looks at the basic principles of clusters and focuses on leveraging the power of cooperation. We will then explore how policy can use clusters to implement a range of policies that are central to regional resilience, as we rebuild from the COVID pandemic. Over the course of 20 minutes James will present:

About James Wilson
James is Director of Research at Orkestra-Basque Institute of Competitiveness and teaching faculty at Deusto Business School. His research is focused on policy-relevant analysis of territorial competitiveness, including territorial strategy-making, governance, clusters and innovation policy. He has published widely on these issues in peer-reviewed journals and academic books, and is currently leading mapping and analytical work within the European Cluster Collaboration Platform. He is regularly invited as an expert speaker/advisor by institutions such as the European Commission and by national and regional governments and is a member of the Board of Directors of TCI Network.
